Thoughts and such

I have completed my first week of classes, and my third week of being in an apartment with my roommates. To say the least, classes were interesting. I can't complain, I have a great schedule. I have professors who are so funny, and super smart. The funniest thing happened this past Thursday. Well, it wasn't funny at the time, but it is right funny now that I think about it and tell the story. So my English class is from 6:30-9:15. We meet once a week, so it was our first class and all that good stuff. On the way to class, it was beautiful. No clouds, hot as crap, but it was a pleasant walk. After getting lost, I finally made it to class with about 5 minutes to spare. About 15 minutes into the class, it begins to thunder and lighten, and then it starts to rain. After about 5 more minutes of that, it begins to hail. Our professor had already said we were going to get out before 8, so at this point we were just waiting for the hail to stop. So the hail stopped, and she let us out. Yes, it was still storming. So we go out to the front of the building, and the rain tapers off, and the thunder and lightening stop, so I take off. I grab my flip flops and I start speed walking (I don't like to run) so I am so turned around, I have no idea where I am. So I run to a building I think is the right way, only to find, it's not. So by then, it's storming pretty hard, but I'm under the medal part of the building, so I take off running again. After I got where I was going, I made it to the parking deck. Being the good steward of money that I am, I didn't register my car, so I walk to EVERY class from my apartment, which is across the highway from the school. Which means, if I wanted to make it home before the storm got even worse, I had to run in the rain. So I took off from under the parking deck, only to get caught in the median. As I'm standing in the median, soaking wet, and cold, I think to myself, "Man, I hope no one from Albemarle drives by and sees me" Well I get back to the apartment, only to find out that our building, got struck by lightening. Talk about luck. The fire trucks came, and did our building alarm ever go off in our apartment? Nope. Talk about feeling safe:) Anyway, after that fun time, I check my e-mail later that night, only to find out that a friend of mine's parent did in fact see me standing in the median soaking wet. So I say all this because #1, it's storming outside, and #2, I'm putting off all the reading I have to do before class tommorow. Please keep praying for me during this transition, as it is going smoothly, but it gets rocky at times. More to come, as more happens.
